The dual-layer construction traps air between the two layers of high wicking breathable polypropylene fabric, giving you a significant increase in thermal protection whilst allowing body-generated moisture to escape.

The close-fitting design ensures minimal air gaps are left around the torso, with extended cuffs and thumb loops that cover the palms of the hands and extend to the first finger joint. The extended torso length extends down past the waist, reducing the risk of cold air gaps being created during bending or stretching.

During testing, thermal performance was on a par with a three layer system of baselayer, mid-weight mid-layer and light fleece outer. Its insulating properties make it perfect for extreme cold environments or chilly static positions where body-generated heat is at a minimum.
