A Helle knife goes through up to 45 different manual operations before it is finally checked and packaged, and the same care is applied to the sheaths; they are made of specially tanned leather, and treated with saddle grease for increased lustre and durability.

Helle knives are the work of true craftsmen; triple laminated steel with a high carbon steel core ensures a sharp edge without compromising the blade's strength. Most handles are constructed from beautifully structured wood of curly grained birch - all painstakingly ground, polished and oiled - the only way to do true justice to finely crafted steel.
